Suspect: Paul Razo
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Special Victims Bureau is investigating allegation(s) of child sexual abuse by Paul Razo. The incidents occurred between 2007-2016 when Mr. Razo lived in the Covina area of Unincorporated Los Angeles County.
Mr. Razo is a former police officer that was employed by the Los Angeles Police Department. Based on the nature of the allegations and Mr. Razo’s access to children, detectives believe there may be additional unidentified victims.
On May 5, 2023, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed eight counts of lewd acts with a child under case KA132897.
Mr. Razo was arrested on May 10, 2023, under booking #6601742, and remains in custody. He is scheduled to appear at Pomona Superior Court on May 12, 2023, in Department N. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department - Special Victims Bureau is tasked with investigating the sexual and physical abuse of children and felonious sexual assaults involving adult victims.
