911 Call-takers moving to Bishop Street beginning February 1, 2010. No anticipated disruption in service.

The Jersey City Police Department is about to complete the next phase in the implementation of the Public Safety Communications Center. Chief Comey announced that the call-takers will be moving to the new center begining Monday, February 1, 2010. There is no anticipated disruption in service. As always, in the event of an emergency, please call 911. All 911 calls will be answered as usual. The 911 system is designed to pass emergency calls through to a live operator so the call can be handled appropriately. Thank you for your cooperation.
