With extensive rainfall many Vigo County Roadways have been affected.  Vigo County 911 & Sheriff's Office encourage all citizens to utilize the Vigo County Web Map to stay up to date with high water and road closures in Vigo County.  This web map is updated by both city and county street and highway departments instantaneously and  thus provide the most current information, citzens may also sign up for alerts through this site. This site is located at: http://vigo.in.wthgis.com. We encourage local media to direct viewers and listeners to this map and ask citizens to refrain from calling 911 for this information.  We remind drivers not to cross roadways with standing water and to turn around upon seeing any high water signs.
