Far Hills Police forward this Storm Alert with potential for FREEZING ROADWAYS--BE CAREFUL DRIVING

STORM ALERT

COLDER WITH A CHANCE OF A SNOW SHOWER. AFTER A BRIEF RISE IN THE TEMPS THROUGH EARLY AFTERNOON, A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THRU THE AREA BETWEEN 2-5 P.M. THIS AFTERNOON PRODUCING AT LEAST A FEW FLURRIES AND A CHANCE OF A SCATTERED HEAVY SNOW SHOWER. UNLIKE THIS MORNINGS STEADY SNOW, AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING SNOW SHOWERS WILL BE SCATTERED AND MOSTLY ON THE LIGHT SIDE. HOWEVER ONE OR TWO COULD BE BRIEFLY HEAVY ENOUGH TO RECOVER/ REWET TREATED SURFACES AND POSSIBLY ACCUMULATE UP TO A DUSTING – 1/4 INCH. SINCE TEMPS MEANWHILE WILL BE COOLING BACK BELOW FREEZING BY 6 P.M., ANY LEFT OVER SLUSHY OR WET AREAS THAT ARE NOT TREATED OR DO NOT COMPLETELY DRY WILL BECOME FROZEN AGAIN BY 6 P.M. AND REMAIN FROZEN THRU SUNDAY.
