Hopewell Police Department

On June 25-26, 2009, the Hopewell Police Department, acting in conjunction with the United States Marshals Office, The Hopewell Sheriff’s Office, Virginia State Police, DEA, ICE, Virginia Department of Corrections, Colonial Heights Police Department, Chesterfield Police and Sheriff’s, and the Social Security Administration’s Office of the Inspector General, participated in Operation FALCON, a combined Federal/State/Local operation targeting fugitives who were wanted on outstanding warrants.

Approximately 30 state/local law enforcement officers and Federal agents participated in this Tri-Cities wide effort to locate and bring to justice people wanted on Felony warrants. As a result of this operation, eleven people were arrested on 21 existing Hopewell charges.

Hopewell Police Chief Steven D. Martin said “I would like to express my thanks for the outstanding efforts of the participating agencies, and particularly to the citizens of Hopewell for their cooperation and assistance in providing information. The great success of this operation has helped to provide a safer community for all the citizens of Hopewell.”

Arrested were the following subjects:

• Dennis, Nathan – 35 yoa, Petersburg; Att. Mal. Wounding, Hit and Run, Vandalism (felony)
• Farley, Robert - 35 yoa, Chesterfield; Burglary, Grand Larceny, Aggravated Assault
• Hairston, Joshua - 18 yoa, Petersburg; Possession of Stolen Property
• Harris, Douglas – 26 yoa, Petersburg; Possession of Cocaine, Remove no. from firearm
• Jones, Rose – 38 yoa, Petersburg; Fraud
• Lane, Devon – 21 yoa, Hopewell; Probation Violation
• Lee, Crystal – 27 yoa, Hopewell; Vandalism (felony)
• Parson, Eric – 29 yoa, Hopewell; Capias (2)
• Stith, Jasmine – 22 yoa, Hopewell; Fraud, Burglary, Grand Larceny
• Taylor, Kunwane - 26 yoa, Prince George; Rape
• Walker, Brandon – 18 yoa, Prince George; Grand Larceny, Fraud
