Murder Victim Found at McFall’s Park

Grand Prairie—Police are looking for anyone who has information about a homicide that occurred sometime between Friday evening or early Saturday morning in Grand Prairie.

The victim, Gerardo Castanon-Banuelos, a 31 year old white male from Irving, frequented the 24 Hour Fitness at Story Rd. and Highway 183 in Irving, Texas. He was last seen at 24 Hour Fitness on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 9:30pm.

His body was located at 7:46am near the entrance of McFall’s Park in the 1400 block of S. Carrier parkway. He was found shot. Police believe he must have left the fitness center with someone because they located his vehicle on Saturday at the 24 Hour Fitness parking lot. His body was released to the Dallas County M.E at 10:35am.
