..STRONG THUNDERSTORMS EXPECTED ACROSS SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA TODAY AND TONIGHT...

A POWERFUL STORM WILL AFFECT THE AREA TODAY...BRINGING HEAVY RAINFALL AND SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS TO THE ENTIRE AREA. A UNSTABLE AIR MASS WILL REMAIN OVER THE AREA TONIGHT...MAINTAINING A THREAT OF THUNDERSTORMS.

SOME OF THE THUNDERSTORMS MAY PRODUCE SMALL HAIL...WIND GUSTS OVER 50 MPH AND TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS. ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS WILL BE FAVORABLE FOR ISOLATED WEAK TORNADOES WHICH COULD EITHER FORM OVER LAND OR MOVE ASHORE AFTER FORMING AS WATERSPOUTS.
