"Internet Safety for Parents" course now being offered!

The Berks-Lehigh Regional Police Department, under the direction of Chief of Police Michael Weiser, is proud to announce that on Thursday, February 18th, 2010, the department will present “Internet Safety for Parents.” This course, which is being sponsored by the Topton Neighborhood Watch, was designed in-part by Chief Weiser. The class will discuss current issues associated with children and internet use, and will include helpful pointers on how to help your children “steer clear” of online dangers. Other points of discussion will include cyber-bullying, Facebook and Myspace, and YouTube. This course is a must for parents with children who are just starting to use the internet, as well as those who have children who are well versed in the World Wide Web. “Internet Safety for Parents” will be held at 7:00 pm at the Topton Borough Hall, which is located at 205 Callowhill Street, Topton (Berks County). Any questions regarding this presentation can be addressed to Criminal Investigator Peter Nickischer at 610-683-8740, or [email protected].
