Theft from autos, Heatherfield Way. Vehicles had been left unlocked by their owners.

The Lower Paxton police Department is investigating thefts from vehicles which occurred during the over night hours from Tuesday night, January 12th to Wednesday morning January 13th. Several vehicles were entered in the 6400 block of Heatherfield Way. The vehicles that were entered had been parked in the street or driveways of their owner’s homes. The vehicles had been left unlocked by their owners. A satellite radio and a GPS unit were taken.

We encourage the public to keep their vehicles locked at all times, regardless where they may be parked. Items of obvious value, as taken in this case, should not be left in plain view in vehicles. Preferably, similar items of value should be taken into your residence at night and not left in your vehicle.
