*Update*Water Valve Install-10/5/20-9:00am-Temporary Water Shut Off & Road Closure. Hudson St from Sand St to Eighth St. 
**Update**On Monday, October 5, 2020, the City of Oneonta's water department will be installing a water valve on Hudson Street from Sand Street to Eight Street and all of Sand Street beginning at 7:30am.
Water will be shut off at 9:00am for a few hours while the new valve is being installed. Hudson Street will be closed from Sand Street to Eighth Street at 7:30am until work is complete. All local traffic using the section of Hudson Street that is closed during this time, please enter and exit the Eighth Street side of the work zone.
When water is restored, residents may experience a change in water color or pressure. This is a common, temporary occurrence and is not a cause for alarm. Water discoloration should disappear after running a cold-water tap for a few minutes.
