Newark Firefighters Deliver Meals To Seniors in Two Neighborhoods 
The Community Relations Unit of the Newark Fire Division packaged meals donated by Hello Fresh and Tabletop Meals today at JFK Recreation Center for delivery to Newark seniors.
Balanced meals, including chicken, pasta, salad, bread and fruit, were delivered to seniors at Seth Boyden Elderly and Riverside Court. Each location received 150 bags of food. Bags were filled by firefighters to provide seniors with multiple meals.
Newark firefighter S. Wolf once again cooked hot meals as part of today’s delivery to seniors limited by the COVID-19 safety sheltering.
Special thanks to Patrick Council, Director of Newark’s Department of Recreation, Cultural Affairs and Senior Services who opened the JFK Recreation Center for the firefighters to sort and pack the meals for delivery.
