All First Responders at the Novato Police Department are dedicated to providing continued essential services to our community every day and especially during the Extended Shelter-In-Place Order. As of yet, we have been fortunate in that there have been NO cases of COVID-19 among our staff members and we will do our best to take necessary precautions to keep it that way. 

Each day we are faced with new challenges and we intend to work tirelessly to ensure the safety of Novato, while keeping our employees healthy. The well-being of our community is fully supported by our department, among all members at our partner agencies and we serve you with honor. 

A critical aspect of our safety (needed on a daily basis) is access to Personal Protective Equipment or PPE. PPE includes masks, eye protection, gloves, etc.

We need your assistance now more than ever. We have a limited amount of PPE and our supplies are dwindling quickly. We have requested additional supplies, however there is a nationwide shortage, which is why we are reaching out for support. Each piece of protective equipment can reduce the chances of our staff contracting COVID-19 and spreading it within the community. 

If you have any additional masks or other supplies that you’ve bought along the way (for painting, DIY home projects, smoke inhalation, home emergency kits, or if you have a construction company or similar business, etc.) that would be able to be donated to the Novato Police Department, we would be eternally grateful. 

We are in need of the following items:
• N95 or any type of surgical mask
• Clear protective eye gear or goggles
• Face shields or splash shields
• Disinfecting wipes
• Hand sanitizer

Please check your supplies. If you have any items to donate, you can drop them in the “Donation Box” inside the Front Lobby at the station anytime. Please press the “red button” on the call box at the front door (on right) to be let in.
