GTPD Community Bulletin: April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day
April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day!! The 70's was the launch of an ongoing nationwide effort to promote autism awareness and assure that all affected by autism are able to achieve the highest quality of life possible. Every April, we continue our efforts to spread awareness, promote acceptance, and ignite change for Autism Awareness Month. In the United States, Autism has risen from 1 in 125 children in 2010 to 1 in 59 in 2020. It is important that we help increase awareness about autism signs, symptoms and resources.
