There are seven (7) positive cases of COVID-19 in Rutherford County. • 147 individuals tested • 95 tests are negative • 45 tests are pending • 7 tests are positive Ongoing investigations continue as the Health Department works with these seven individuals to ensure self-isolation and limit future spread. All seven individuals are residents of Rutherford County. In order to protect patient confidentially per HIPAA, patient information and location will not be shared. If you are a potential exposure to a positive COVID-19 case, the Health Department will be in contact with you. Our local EMS medical strike teams are making contact with these individuals and tracking their progress. We know that COVID-19 is in our community so please take standard precautions no matter where you are. STAY AT HOME, wash your hands, maintain social distancing, and wipe down surfaces.
