Effective immediately, following precautionary recommendations regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) from the CDC and our Glynn County Board of Commissioners, the Jekyll Island Authority has issued a new Executive Order with restrictions concerning the following:
Restrictions on Short-Term Rentals
- The rental and/or occupancy of Commercial Lodging Establishments for a period of more than two consecutive nights shall be prohibited until April 30, 2020, at 11:59 P.M. Exceptions apply.
- Commercial Lodging Establishments shall not accept new reservations or accept new guests, renters, or occupants for the period beginning immediately upon adoption of this Order and ending on April 30, 2020 at 11:59 P.M. for more than two consecutive nights. Exceptions apply.
- Jekyll Island Campground is not subject to this Order.
Prior Executive Orders Extended to April 30, 2020
- Executive Orders 2020-1, closing all beaches on Jekyll Island, and 2020-2, prohibiting community gatherings and restaurant dine-in seating and addressing other matters, shall remain in full force and effect and are extended until April 30, 2020, at 11:59 p.m., unless modified, renewed, or earlier terminated by the Executive Director.

The Order shall expire April 30, 2020, at 11:59 p.m., unless it is modified, renewed, or terminated earlier.
