16 NEW COVID-19 CASES IN MONROE TOWNSHIP
2,196 NEW COVID-19 CASES IN NEW JERSEY – 18,696 TOTAL
LATEST STATE/COUNTY UPDATES: The latest statistics related to the COVID-19 Coronavirus from Governor Murphy’s office this afternoon includes 2,196 new positive test results in New Jersey for a statewide total of 18,696. There are 69 new reported deaths for a total of 267. Middlesex County reports 154 new cases for a total of 1,277 positive cases. Monroe Township has been notified of 16 new cases, of which five patients are in the hospital and the remainder are self-quarantined at home. Monroe now has a total of 90 positive cases. The new cases are:

The COVID-19 drive-thru testing facility, MyInstaDoc, located at 298 Applegarth Road reports testing more than 600 patients in Monroe since testing began on Friday, March 20.
MESSAGE FROM GOVERNOR MURPHY: “For any New Jerseyan who thinks they may need to be tested, a good first stop is our symptom self-test at www.covid19.nj.gov. If you believe you may be exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, call your health care practitioner,” said Governor Murphy. “We're not getting out of this in the next few days. We're going to be hunkered down for a while so find productive, healthy ways to pass the time and to support others while still maintaining social distancing."
MESSAGE FROM THE STATE HEALTH COMMISSIONER: “New Jersey’s state laboratory has run 44,330 coronavirus tests since the outbreak started, with 17,253 positive tests — a positive rate of 38.92%,” said state Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli earlier today. She said 81 of the 375 long term care facilities in the state have reported at least 1 positive patient and she has asked all staff at long term care facilities to wear masks. All people entering those facilities are being asked to do the same.
TESTING THURSDAY, APRIL 2: COVID-19 DRIVE-THRU TESTING SITE IN MONROE TWP at MyInstaDoc, 298 Applegarth Road: The facility will serve pre-registered patients only from 9am – 1pm and drive-up patients from 1pm – 3:30pm. Testing will continue on Saturday, April 4. Pre-register at www.myinstadocmonroe.com or call 609-207-3220 to speak with a medical professional.
MIDDLESEX COUNTY COVID-19 DRIVE-THRU TESTING SITE OPENING APRIL 1 IN EDISON: Site will be open to Middlesex County residents by appointment. The site, located at New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission Kilmer Vehicle Inspection Center, 33 Kilmer Road, Edison, will be open 3 days a week - Monday, Wednesday and Friday - from 10 am to 2 pm. All appointments for Wednesday, April 1 have been reserved. Please check back on Thursday, April 2 at 10:00 a.m. to make an appointment for Friday, April 3.
Residents that have symptoms and would like to be tested, should visit Middlesexcountynj.gov/COVID19testing to register and receive a time to report to the testing site. You must preregister and appointments will only be made the day prior to a testing day. Residents who do not have access to the internet should call 732-745-3100 to make an appointment (10am to 4pm).
PNC Arts Center in Holmdel will open for testing at 8am on Wednesday, April 1. The PNC Arts Center for symptomatic New Jersey residents ONLY.
