Warrant Issued for Irvington Man Wanted for Burglary

Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Jean Nadyme, 24, of Irvington, on charges of burglary, theft and criminal mischief in an incident that occurred on Tuesday, February 25, 2020.

A residence in the 500 block of Sanford Avenue was burglarized between 7:40 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The victim reported that a 55” television was stolen, along with an iPad Air, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Android cell phone, cash, jewelry and other personal property were stolen.

Detectives investigating this incident have identified Jean Nadyme as a suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest. Police seek the public’s help in quickly locating Nadyme as part of this investigation. He is described as 5’7” tall and 150 lbs. with a dark complexion, black hair and brown eyes.

Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about the whereabouts of Jean Nadyme to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
