Arrest for Attempted Homicide in Lake Isabella

On March 30, 2020, at 8:45 p.m., deputies from the Kern Valley Substation responded to the Dollar General Store at 2326 Webb Avenue, Lake Isabella, regarding a victim of an assault.  Upon arrival, deputies located the victim who was suffering from stab wounds to his face and back. The adult male was transported to the hospital by air ambulance. He is expected to survive, and is in critical but stable condition. An adult female suffered minor injuries, but declined medical aid.  After further investigation, deputies obtained information about the suspect’s identity and location which may also have been the scene of the attempted homicide.  Deputies went to the 2100 block of Young Avenue in Lake Isabella where they contacted the suspect.  23-year-old Darrin Tannehill was booked for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
