* At 1152 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Arabia Mountain to Luella, moving east at 60 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include... McDonough, Conyers, Monroe, Covington, Jackson, Madison, Monticello, Locust Grove, Social Circle, Oxford, Porterdale, Walnut Grove, Rutledge, Newborn, North High Shoals, Mansfield, Jenkinsburg, Bostwick, Between and Good Hope.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 PM EDT for central, north central and west central Georgia. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread significant wind damage.
