Village of Forest Extends Tax Filing and Payment Deadline
FOREST, OHIO – March 30, 2020
In compliance with the State of Ohio extending the deadline to file and pay the state income tax, the Village of Forest will follow suit and extend their municipal income tax filing date to July 15, 2020.
As with the IRS extension, the Village of Forest will be waiving penalty on tax due payments made during the extension. Also, there will be no interest charges on payments made during the extension.
Individuals, estates, trusts and certain businesses making quarterly estimated income tax payments, have also been granted additional time to file and pay without penalty or interest. The first and second quarterly payments, normally scheduled for April 15 and June 15 for most taxpayers, have both been extended to July 15.
We will be issuing more detailed information as it becomes available from the State of Ohio in the next few days. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 419-273-2500 or by email at [email protected]
As always, please remember to follow the guidelines of staying home, and using social distancing if you must venture out.
Thank you and stay safe.
