* Until 345 AM CDT.

* At 254 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Lake Tapawingo, or near Independence, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...Quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected.

* Locations impacted include... Kansas City, Independence, Lee's Summit, Blue Springs, Grain Valley, Oak Grove, Higginsville, Lexington, Sugar Creek, Buckner, Orrick, Wellington, Lake Tapawingo, Hardin, Henrietta, Sibley, Mayview, Levasy, Napoleon and Bates City. This includes the following highways... Interstate 70 in Missouri between mile markers 13 and 31. Interstate 470 between mile markers 13 and 16.
