There are several "old" types of scams that are being used but only now with COVID-19 as the "victim". Don't let scammers 

Charity fraud. An organization's email or website may request donations to help with a COVID-19 initiative to help people or purchase things. In reality, it's just a scammer basically trying to take advantage of your charitable beliefs.

Investment scams. Information may come your way about some new company with a vaccine or product to prevent COVID-19. Beware and read carefully before you do anything. 

Don't click on links or attachments in emails. It can lead to malicious sites or bad files that can download nasty programs, such as data-locking ransomware into your computer.

Make note of mispellings in emails, specifically in email addresses that may try to come off as well known or famous companies.  A lot of times they will try to mirror a company's email address, but be off by just one letter.  Be careful before giving any of your personal information away.
