STAMFORD CT: (Correction) Update from Mayor David Martin
Hello, this is Mayor David Martin with important COVID-19 updates from the City of Stamford.
I am saddened to share with you that one of Stamford’s own has passed away from the deadly coronavirus. We have lost a husband and a father, and our hearts go out to the family.
While I believe that most people in Stamford are taking this pandemic seriously, this death should be a wake-up call to those who are not. So I remind you to stay safe with good health practices – wash your hands, no handshaking, cover your cough, and maintain safe social distance. No matter what anyone else does, it is fundamentally up to you - please protect yourself, protect your friends and family, and protect our community.
Today we announced our new “Stamford Together” Volunteer Program. We already have 5 initiatives where volunteers can help. Please go the www.stamfordct.gov/StamfordTogether to learn more and volunteer.
Finally, please visit the City of Stamford’s dedicated page for updates at www.stamfordct.gov/covid19.
You can also follow our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for updates.
Be health smart, be well, be positive and stay safe.
Thank you.
