3_23 Monroe Twp Update, 3 new positive cases

935 NEW COVID-19 CASES IN NEW JERSEY
NJ TOTAL IS NOW 2,844 
 LATEST STATE/COUNTY UPDATES:  The latest statistics related to the COVID-19 Coronavirus from Governor Murphy’s office this afternoon includes 935 new positive test results in New Jersey for a statewide total of 2,844.  Middlesex County reports 61 new cases for a total of 210 positive cases.  Monroe has just been notified of three new cases:  36-year-old female, 64-year-old female and 69-year-old female.  Monroe now has a total of fifteen positive cases.    
NOTE:  OUR REGULAR 5PM DAILY UPDATE WILL BE MOVING TO BETWEEN 6 – 8PM TO INCLUDE UP-TO-THE-MINUTE INFORMATION FROM MIDDLESEX COUNTY.
“I continue to stress the importance of staying home to flatten the curve,” said Mayor Tamburro. “I also want to warn our residents not to fall victim to scammers who are taking advantage this health crisis. No reputable agency is calling to ask if you want to be tested. Do not give your credit or debit card to any unsolicited caller – now or ever.”

DIABETES FOUNDATION HOTLINE FOR BACKUP EMERGENCY KITS:    The Diabetes Foundation has opened a hotline for individuals living with all types of diabetes to receive a free Backup Emergency Kit.  Anyone in need of an emergency backup kit can apply to receive one by visiting www.diabetesfoundation.org or calling 973-849-5234. 
MENTAL HEALTH HELPLINE:  The Governor’s Office announced the availability of tele-mental health services from 8 am – 8 pm at 866-202-HELP (4357).
