Advisory

Important message from the East Pennsboro Township Board Commissioners.

Hello.  I am East Pennsboro Township Board of Commissioners President, George Tyson. On behalf of my fellow Commissioners, I want to reassure you that essential Township Services continue to operate without interruption.  Our Police officers are on duty, and our volunteer firefighters stand ready to serve in times of need.

Your trash will be picked up and the Wastewater treatment plant continues to operate.

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Board of Commissioners called an emergency meeting of the Board that met yesterday evening.  The Commissioners passed a continuation of the Emergency Declaration for East Pennsboro Township that will better equip our staff with the tools they need to protect our residents.  That Declaration is posted on the Township website.

Additionally, with this order, the following Township services have been altered:

The Township office and Police Department are closed to the public and remain staffed for essential services, phone calls and emails.

Trash, Sewer, and Storm Water Bills will be processed and may be paid online ( https://eastpenntwp.authoritypay.com/ ) , via US mail or at the drop-box location in front of the Township Building 98 South Enola Drive.

The following services have been suspended indefinitely:

  • No permits will be issued such as Handicap Parking Permits, Door-to-Door Solicitation permits, and Dog Licenses
  • No rental inspection services
  • No Building or Zoning Permits will be accepted
  • No Land Development or Subdivision plans will be accepted

Additionally, PennWaste, our trash hauler, has suspended bulk item pick-up.  Please do not place bulk items or yard waste out for pick-up.

In an effort to contain the spread of the COVID-19 disease Board of Commissioners has closed all Township parks and recreational areas except for walking trails and bike paths.  The use of recreation equipment and pavilions within parks is prohibited.

Again, I want to reassure you that aside from these disruptions, all essential Township services continue to operate as usual.  These are trying times for us all and I thank you for your patience as we work to ensure the well-being of our residents, first responders and Township staff.

Please stay home and stay safe. Follow the Governor’s directive advising to stay home if possible and limit travel for Life-Sustaining-Essential-Products/Services. We will get through this together.
