SUSPECT: Miller, Derrick - 34 year old, West Covina resident
NARRATIVE:
On Saturday, March 21, 2020; Officers from Pomona Police Department's, Major Crimes Task Force were conducting special enforcement patrols in areas known for gang, vice and drug activity. In the area of Lorrane Ave. and Monterey Ave., they found a suspicious car occupied by a lone male. Upon contacting him, he was identified as, Derrick Miller. Miller was in possession of multiple open containers of alcohol. A search of his car reveled a loaded .380 handgun. Also in the car were thirteen ecstasy pills. Miller admitted to ownership of the handgun and the street drugs. Miller was found to be a convicted felon as well. He was arrested without a confrontation and booked locally in the Pomona city jail. He was charged with the aforementioned violations.
