COVID-19: Life Sustaining Businesses Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Dear Plainfield Township Residents and Business Owners:
Plainfield Township has received a number of inquiries about the March 19th orders issued by Governor Wolf and Secretary Levine closing in-person, physical operations of any non-"life-sustaining business." To assist residents and business owners with receiving clarity about these orders, the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS) has developed answers to a list of Life Sustaining Businesses Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). The FAQ document is attached to this email.
Please note that the Commonwealth has delayed the commencement of enforcement of the March 19th orders until Monday, March 23 at 12:01 am to permit it to address the large number of requests it has received from businesses seeking waivers declaring that they are life-sustaining businesses.
Additionlly, in order to help quell the significant number of rumors that have arisen on social media and from other various sources about COVID-19, the United States Department of Homeland Security and FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) have created the page linked for “rumor control.” Click here to view the Rumor Control page.
