Two suspects were arrested with stolen mail and other property belonging to at least nine victims from Chino Hills

DATE/TIME: March 20, 2020 / 9:15 A.M.

INCIDENT: Possession of Stolen Mail, Possession of Stolen Property

LOCATION: 2000 block of Miramonte Court, Chino Hills

SUSPECT(S): Meredith Coombs, age 33, resident of Walnut
Brian Trammell, age 38, resident of Rialto

VICTIM(S): Multiple residents of Chino Hills

SUMMARY:
On Friday, March 20, 2020, deputies from the Chino Hills Station responded to a suspicious vehicle on an access road near the 2000 block of Miramonte Court. Deputies contacted two subjects, Meredith Coombs, a resident of Walnut, and Brian Trammell, a resident of Rialto. The two subjects were found in possession of stolen mail and other stolen items that belonged to at least nine victims. Coombs and Trammell were both arrested and later booked at West Valley Detention Center for Possession of Stolen Mail and Possession of Stolen Property.

Coombs was found to be on Post Release Community Supervision per Assembly Bill 109 for assault. Trammell, who was wearing a yellow work vest when contacted, was found to be on Post Release Community Supervision per Assembly Bill 109 for domestic violence. Additionally, Trammel was found to also be on Felony Probation for vandalism and had a warrant for his arrest.

Deputies are continuing to investigate in the hopes of identifying other victims of theft.

As part of then Governor Jerry Brown’s Realignment Plan, Or Assembly Bill 109, to comply with a U.S. Supreme Court decision requiring the state to lower its prison population by 30,000: offenders with non-violent, non-sexual and non-serious convictions serve reduced sentences in county jails and are placed on local supervision through county Probation.
