Manville Borough Local Declaration to take effect March 19, 2020 at 10:00 P.M.

Good evening Manville Residents. The following is a message from the Manville Office of Emergency Management.

The Borough of Manville Office of Emergency Management will be Declaring a Local Declaration in regards to COVID-19. This Declaration goes into effect on Thursday March 19, 2020 at 10:00pm.

The following is what restrictions are included in our Local Declaration.

In addition to all conditions imposed by Executive Order No. 104 issued by New Jersey Governor Murphy, the following are additional restrictions shall be enforced: All Banquet and Meeting Facilities, Barber Shops, Hair Salons, Tattoo Parlors, Nail Salons, Massage Establishments and Playground Areas, shall be closed at all times until further notice. Residents are also urged to stay indoors from 8:00pm-5:00am. The Borough of Manville needs to be proactive and follow the guidelines of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) which have studied the trends regarding the historical spread of COVID-19 in other countries. This body of experience calls for public policy that promotes social distancing in order to prevent spread of the disease and a surge on the public healthcare system.
