Flash Flood Watch until 12:00PM Friday

The National Weather Service in Wilmington has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include portions of Central Ohio and West Central Ohio, including the following areas, in Central Ohio, Fayette OH, Franklin OH, Madison, and Pickaway. In West Central Ohio, Clark, Greene, and Montgomery.

* Through Friday morning

* Showers and thunderstorms through the overnight hours may produce heavy rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches on saturated grounds.

* Poor drainage areas, creeks, streams and ditches will have the highest chance of experiencing flooding.

* AFFECTED AREAS: MADISON ... MONTGOMERY ... GREENE ... FRANKLIN ... CLARK ... PICKAWAY ... FAYETTE

Instructions:

People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas, and be careful when approaching highway dips and underpasses.
