High Springs Suspends City Activities, City Hall to Remain Open

In an effort to keep our community safe and healthy, the city of High Springs has suspended all city activities, including food giveaways (excluding school board sanctioned services) until further notice. Enclosed structures, including the bathrooms in our city parks and playground equipment are closed. Large pickup games and parties in city parks are also discouraged, as the CDC encourages “social distancing.” The CDC defines social distancing as "remaining out of congregate settings, avoiding mass gatherings, and maintaining distance (approximately 6 feet or 2 meters) from others when possible. Health officials continue to remind us to wash our hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

City Hall remains open for business, and our staff has ramped up cleaning efforts to maintain a healthy environment. However,we encourage residents to use the online bill pay options available through highsprings.us, and to only visit city hall if absolutely necessary. The city commission meeting scheduled for March 26th has been canceled.

For residents requiring further assistance, or who may have questions or concerns may call city hall at 386-454-1416.
