COVID-19 Travel Update: Facility Closures
Effective immediately, following precautionary recommendations regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and Glynn County officials, the Jekyll Island Authority (JIA) will be closing the following indoor amenities and programming to the public, until further notice:
- Mosaic, Jekyll Island Museum and Historic District facilities, programming and tours
- Faith Chapel
- Jekyll Island Convention Center
- Georgia Sea Turtle Center Gallery and Viewing Pavilion
Injured sea turtles can still be reported by calling: 912-264-7218 or 1-800-2SAVEME (800-272-8363)
All other public facilities and amenities will continue to operate under normal business hours.
The JIA has stringent precautionary measures in place, including hand-sanitizing stations and pumps at all authority-owned facilities, to ensure the safety and well-being of those living, visiting and working on the island.
The JIA will continue to monitor developments and information surrounding COVID-19’s potential impact on travel to and around Jekyll Island.
