Convicted Felon Arrested by Major Crimes Task Force
NARRATIVE:
On Saturday, March 14, 2020; Officers from Pomona Police Department's, Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) contacted Arthur Ramirez on the 2200 block of Concord Ave. Arthur is a documented gang member, and convicted felon, and currently on parole. Due to his parole conditions, Officers conducted a compliance check at his residence located on the 700 block of Weber St. The contact, and subsequent search revealed a shotgun, handgun, and ammunition for each weapon. Suspect Ramirez was arrested without resistance and booked locally. He was charged with the aforementioned violations.
UNIT:
The Pomona Police Department’s, Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) is a specialized unit within the police department that is responsible for suppressing gang violence, investigating drug offenses and pursuing wanted persons. The team is comprised of two supervisors, five officers and two additional officers from the California Highway Patrol – Baldwin Park Office.
