Steps taken to prevent spread of flu will also help against the spread of coronavirus:
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
• Stay home when you are sick.
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash, and wash your hands.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
• While it will not protect you from coronavirus, get the flu shot to protect yourself from flu. Having the flu lowers your body’s ability to defend against other viruses like coronavirus.
• Face masks are not recommended for the public, as they do not provide protection from coronavirus.
