Arcadia PD Officers arrest mail theft suspects.

The City of Arcadia has experienced an increased number of mail thefts in  recent weeks.  In response, the Arcadia Police Department has conducted directed enforcement efforts in parts of the City most affected by this increase, and utilized GPS Tracker Technology, to try and identify and arrest persons responsible for these crimes.

During the early morning hours of (Thursday) March 5, 2020, Arcadia Police Officers made two arrests for mail theft in the 1500 block of South Fourth Avenue.  The officers’ investigation also resulted in a vehicle being impounded for evidence as it was believed to contain parcels related to previously reported mail thefts.

The two adult, male suspects were charged with a variety of offenses, to include mail theft and possession of personal identification information with the intent to defraud.

Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant in retrieving their mail on a daily basis so it does not stay in a mailbox overnight, and to use a mailbox that has a locking mechanism on it whenever possible.  And, as always, remember that, “If You See Something (suspicious), Say Something!”
