* Flood Warning for The Chunky River Near Chunky

* from Friday afternoon to late Friday night.

* At 1:00 PM Thursday the stage was 15.7 feet.

* Minor flooding is forecast.

* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to near flood stage by early tomorrow afternoon.

* Impact...At 22.0 feet...Considerable areas of pastureland south of the river gage begin to flood.

* AFFECTED AREAS: NEWTON, MS ... LAUDERDALE, MS
