...HEAVY WET SNOW THREAT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 5 to 10 inches, primarily above 3000 feet in elevation. The greatest amounts are expected on higher northwest facing slopes. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Northwest Pocahontas and Southeast Randolph Counties.

* WHEN...From 4 AM Friday to 1 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

* AFFECTED AREAS: SOUTHEAST RANDOLPH ... NORTHWEST POCAHONTAS
