Flash Flood Watch until 12:00PM

The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for

* A portion of south central Alabama, including the following areas, Butler, Covington, Crenshaw, and Wilcox.

* Until noon CST today

* More rounds of moderate to locally heavy rain will move across the area through this morning. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches with locally higher amounts 2 to 3 inches will be possible this morning.

* Soils remain saturated in the Flash Flood Watch area. Heavy rainfall rates in a short period of time over the same area can set up an increased chance for flooding. Additional river rises may also worsen lingering ongoing river flooding.

* AFFECTED AREAS: COVINGTON ... CRENSHAW ... WILCOX ... BUTLER

Instructions:

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
