Deputies arrest Lionel Johnson of San Bernardino for felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition

INCIDENT: Felon in Possession of Firearm, Ammunition, Possession of a Stolen Firearm
LOCATION: Mountain View Avenue and Rosewood Drive, City of Loma Linda.
SUSPECT(S): Lionel Johnson, 43 years of age, resident of San Bernardino.
SUMMARY:
On February 23, 2020, at approximately 11:20 P.M., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Central Station conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had obstructed license plates. Lionel Johnson, a 43-year-old resident of San Bernardino, was the sole occupant and driver of the vehicle. During the contact, Johnson was determined to be under the influence of Marijuana and was detained. A loaded .45 caliber handgun was located inside the vehicle. A records check confirmed that the handgun was reported stolen from the city of Escondido in 2014.
Johnson was booked into Central Detention Center for felon in possession of a firearm, ammunition, possession of a stolen firearm and was also found to be on Felony Probation out of Los Angeles County for Armed Robbery.
