MCIA Recycling Guidelines: Think Beyond the Bucket! You can recycle so much more than just paper and plastic. Please take some time to go to the Mercer County website for recycling information and to see their new "Beyond the Bucket" resource guide.

Message from the Department of Public Works:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR RECYCLING
If your curbside collection for recycling was not collected because of contamination (items that do not belong in your yellow bucket), kindly remove those items from the recycling bucket  for the next collection.  If you would like to drop off your recycling, the Lawrence Township Public Works Department is allowing residents, with proper proof of residency, to drop off their recycling at the Public Works Facility on Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.(temporary drop off).  This temporary drop off is for residents that did not have their bucket collected because of contamination.  The facility is located at 240 Bakers Basin Road.  You can contact the Mercer County Improvement Authority with any questions regarding the contamination policy at (609) 278-8086.  Plastic bags in your recycling can is a major problem at the recycling plant.  If you place or utilize plastic bags in your curbside recycling bin, they often clog machines at recycling facilities and hinder the recycling process.  Place loose acceptable items in your recycling bucket. Please click here to see list of “Materials Accepted” and “Material not Accepted”. If you have additional questions, feel free to contact the Lawrence Township Department of Public Works at (609) 587-1894.

The week of February 24 is Zone 4.
Only those residents in Zone 4 should put out brush for pick-up.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Christmas trees may be placed at the curb for pick up on your regular zone pick-up week. Any tree removal bags you may have used MUST be removed.
We will not pick up the tree if it is in a bag.  Thank you.

All commercial landscapers shall be registered annually with the
Township of Lawrence by March 31st.

If you have any yard waste, you may take it to the Ecological Facility on Princeton Pike between the hours of 7:30 am and 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
The Ecological Facility is now closed on Saturdays.

If you have questions or need additional information, please call the Department of Public Works at 609-587-1894.
