Over the next couple of weeks, the Fairfield Police Department will be conducting training at the Solano Town Center. This training will be conducted on predesignated days on the Solano Town Center property. The location will be clearly marked and displayed as a training venue with safety measures and restricted access in place. The purpose of the training is to better prepare our officers, fire and medical personnel in response to an active threat event.
There is no information or indication an active threat event is likely to occur, but unfortunately, we live in a time that these types of tragic incidents happen all over the world. It is important for us in the law enforcement, fire and medical community to train for these types of incidents so we can be as best prepared as possible. We are extremely thankful for the relationship we have with the Solano Town Center, as this training would not be possible without their assistance.
