January 28th

Warrant – Kearney Street at Wall Street:
An officer saw an individual that he knew had a warrant for their arrest. The officer contacted the subject and issued them a citation for the warrant.

Warrant – Richmond Street at Portola Avenue:
An officer stopped a vehicle and found the driver had a warrant for their arrest. The subject was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and then transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Grand Theft – 2700 block of Fern Street:
An officer went to a call that someone stole the catalytic converter from victim's car the night before.

Robbery – 9950 San Pablo Avenue (Chase Bank):
Officers went to the report that the bank had just been robbed. When they arrived, they found the suspect had fled the business. The suspect was arrested several days later and charged for the robbery.

Arson – 2060 Tapscott Avenue (Prospect Sierra School):
Officers went to a call that two people had started a small fire on the school campus the night before. They found that someone had lit some small pieces of cardboard on fire.

January 29th

Battery / Parole hold – 6050 El Cerrito Plaza (Barnes and Noble):
An officer responded to the report that someone spit on an employee at the store. Officers found the subject and detained him in the field. The employee identified the subject, and the subject was placed under citizen’s arrest. A parole violation was also added by the subject’s parole officer.

January 31st

Warrant Arrest - 11965 San Pablo Ave:
At 9:51 am, officers were dispatched to the report of a suspicious subject. They contacted a 25-year-old woman who was wanted on two Contra Costa County warrants. The woman was arrested, booked, and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

Disorderly Conduct - 11450 San Pablo Ave:
At 1:03 pm, officers were dispatched to the report of an unruly subject at Safeway. Officers contacted a 39-year-old Richmond man who was found to be heavily intoxicated. He was taken into custody and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

DUI – 11861 San Pablo Ave (Starbucks):
At 8:41 pm, an officer responded to the area for the report of an intoxicated driver that hit the curb with his vehicle, causing his tires to deflate. Officers contacted the 52-year-old Richmond man and arrested him for driving under the influence. The man was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and released with a citation to a sober friend.

Residential Burglary – 5600 block of Poinsett:
At 9:13 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect entered the victims’ residence through an unlocked window and stole jewelry. The burglary occurred between 7-9 pm.

Vandalism – 10546 San Pablo Ave (Katana-Ya Ramen):
At 10:17 pm, an officer reports the right rear window to the victim’s Toyota Prius was shattered, but no property was stolen. The vandalism occurred between 5-10 pm.

Public Intoxication – 9937 San Pablo Ave (Crown Bar):
At 11:51 pm, an officer reports a 24-year-old Berkeley man refused to leave the bar after being asked to leave several times. The man was determined to be too intoxicated to care for himself. The man was arrested and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

February 1st:

Auto Burglary - Cypress St. / S. 55th St.:
At 8:00 am, an officer responded to the report of an auto burglary. In between 5:00 pm and 8:10 am, an unknown suspect punched the door lock on a van and stole three packages.

Vandalism – Central Ave/Carlson Blvd:
At 8:53 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect struck the victim’s vehicle, causing moderate damage.

February 2nd:

DUI – San Pablo Ave/ Manila Ave:
At 1:51 am, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle and determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver, a 39-year-old Richmond man, was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and released with a citation to a sober friend.

Stolen Vehicle - 1900 blk of Hudson Ave:
At 4:00 pm, an officer was dispatched to the report of a stolen 1996 Ram 1500 truck which occurred at 4:27 am.

Tampering with A Vehicle – 1900 block of Downey Place:
At 7:58 pm, an officer reports an unknown suspect damaged the locks to the victim’s vehicle. The crime occurred between 01/30/20 and 02/02/20.

DUI – San Pablo Ave / Plumas Ave:
At 11:26 pm, an officer conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle and determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The driver, a 36-year-old San Pablo woman, was arrested, booked at the ECPD, and released with a citation to a sober friend.
