On February 12, 2020, at 8:11 am, deputies with the Kern Valley Substation responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 6500 block of Wofford Blvd in Wofford Heights.
During the investigation, it was determined an adult man intentionally used his vehicle to strike another adult man.
The victim was taken to the hospital with moderate to major injuries.
36-year-old Douglas Nelson was arrested in the 8000 block of Deerbrush Avenue in South Lake. Nelson was booked into the Central Receiving Facility for attempted murder.
