Winter Weather Advisory until 06:00AM Thursday

...SNOW TO SPREAD ACROSS AREAS ALONG AND NORTH OF I-70 ON WEDNESDAY... .Precipitation will overspread much of central Illinois through the morning into the afternoon, with rain possibly mixed with sleet south of Interstate 70, while areas north of Interstate 70 should be mostly snow. Precipitation will continue Wednesday night and into early Thursday, with snow accumulations of 3 to 4 inches with some 5 inch amounts possible. Much colder air will move into the area Thursday with some blowing snow possible.

* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches.

* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Illinois, namely the area northwest of Interstate 55.

* WHEN...From 11 AM Wednesday to 6 AM CST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the evening commute, with some lingering slippery conditions with patchy blowing snow for the Thursday morning commute.
