On January 7th, 2019 Officers were advised of an erratic driver coming into town on 163. They located the vehicle and driver parked in the 100 block of S. Lafayette. Upon investigating the found the driver in possession of a controlled substance. She was interviewed and released. The substance was sent to the crime lab. Upon receiving the results from the crime lab it was discovered the substance was alprazolam. The report was sent to the state’s attorney’s office for review. On January 14th of this year a warrant was issued on the suspect, Carly Jeane Dawe age 31 of Sauget, with one count of Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance. Her bond was set at $7,500. Approximately a week later she was taken into custody by another agency.
