Due to high winds areas of the East Bay Regional Park District have been closed closed. Roberts, Sibley, Huckleberry, Claremont Canyon, Redwood, and Anthony Chabot Regional Parks remain closed. Included in this closure is the Anthony Chabot Family Campground, which will stay closed until 8:00 AM tomorrow, 2/10/2020. There are other areas of the Park District with areas closed due to downed trees such as Golf Course Road in Tilden Regional Park. All closed areas are marked. Thanks to all of our public safety partners who are helping foster a safe visitor experience.
We continue to respond to multiple reports of trees down and downed power lines associated with the high winds. Please treat all power lines as if they are charged and follow the directions of public safety personnel who are there for your safety. Our Communications Unit continues to coordinate with our public safety partners, including Pacific Gas and Electric.
All parks have a curfew of 10 PM to 5 AM.
