Southern Cleveland County in the Piedmont of North Carolina... Gaston County in the Piedmont of North Carolina... Northwestern York County in Upstate South Carolina... Northeastern Cherokee County in Upstate South Carolina...

* Until 1145 AM EST.

* At 1046 AM EST, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles northeast of Gaffney, or near Blacksburg, moving northeast at 65 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include... Gastonia, Uptown Charlotte, Huntersville, Shelby, Central Charlotte, Northeast Charlotte, Northwest Charlotte, Cornelius, Kings Mountain and Mt Holly.
