The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a

* Tornado Warning for... Central Oconee County in northeastern Georgia... Eastern Clarke County in northeastern Georgia... Northwestern Oglethorpe County in northeastern Georgia... Southeastern Madison County in northeastern Georgia...

* Until 1015 AM EST.

* At 944 AM EST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located just west of Watkinsville, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

* Locations impacted include... Watkinsville, Athens, Comer, Winterville, Colbert, Carlton, Bishop, Hull, Athens-Clarke County, Whitehall, Smithonia, Beechwood Hills, Paoli, Dunlap, State Botanical Garden Of Ga and Watson Mill Bridge State Park.
