On February 1, 2020, Kern County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of several allied law enforcement agencies conducted a probation sweep in the City of Wasco. The operations consisted with over 60 law enforcement personnel, which included the Kern County Sheriff’s Office, Kern County Probation Department, Bakersfield Police Department, Shafter Police Department, Delano Police Department, Taft Police Department and Ridgecrest Police Department. The operation conducted 35 probation and parole searches within the City of Wasco. As a result of the operation, 19 subjects were arrested. Of those subjects arrested, four (4) were open felony charges, seven (7) open misdemeanor charges, one (1) felony warrant and eight (8) misdemeanor warrants.
