SAFER Alert: Ada Police investigating theft/apparent abuse of dog.
The Ada Police Department received a complaint of a missing or stolen dog from the north end of Ada this morning. According to the owner, the dog is a 14-month old Golden-Doodle, white in color with tan streaks and answers to the name of Buster.
We are learning that there have been a number of reported stolen dogs in the Ada and Lima areas, although this case is the first reported to our department from within the village.
If anyone has any information concerning this dog or any other stolen or missing dogs in the area, please contact your local police agency.
Our Ada Police Officers will be on high alert for any suspicious activity concerning the theft or mistreatment of any animal.
In this case, the dog has been recovered and is being treated for possible abuse.
